Community Safety Strategy 2017-20 and Community Safety Plan 2017-18 pdf icon PDF 55 KB

To recommend to Council to agree the Royal Greenwich Community Safety Strategy 2017-20 attached at Appendix A.  Subject to Council agreeing the above Strategy, Cabinet is requested to agree the Community Safety Plan 2017-18 as attached at Appendix B.

1.    That it be agreed to recommend to Council to agree the Royal Greenwich Community Safety Strategy 2017-20 (attached as Appendix A to the report).

 

2.    That it be agreed to agree the Community Safety Plan 2017-18 (attached as Appendix B to the report), subject to Council agreeing the Royal Greenwich Community Safety Strategy 2017-20.

Determination of Statutory Proposal to change Plumstead Manor School from single sex to co-educational pdf icon PDF 138 KB

To consider the prescribed information attached as Appendix 1 to this report and responses to the statutory consultation.  To determine the proposal set out in the statutory consultation document and notice published on 1st March 2017.  To agree to Plumstead Manor changing from a single sex girls’ school, to a co-educational school, with effect from September 2018.

Agreed to Plumstead Manor changing from a single sex girls’ school, to a co-educational school, with effect from September 2018.

In considering the report, Members of the Cabinet commented that the proposal should be welcomed as addressing the issue of gender imbalance in Plumstead Manor school, and 

 

Resolved –

 

1.            That it be agreed to consider the prescribed information (attached as Appendix 1 to the report) and responses to the statutory consultation.

 

2.            That it be agreed to determine the proposal set out in the statutory consultation document and notice published on 1 March 2017.

 

3.            That it be agreed to agree to Plumstead Manor changing from a single sex girls’ school, to a co-educational school, with effect from September 2018.

To agree to a referral being made to the Office of the Schools Adjudicator requesting a variation to the Royal Borough of Greenwich’s determined admission arrangements for community and voluntary controlled secondary schools for entry from the 2018/19 academic year.
