Committee details

The Council’s Cabinet is appointed by the Leader of the Council and comprises the Leader and nine other councillors.  The Leader has delegated a number of functions to the Cabinet for it to determine.

Each Cabinet member is responsible for a specific area of service delivery.  These areas of responsibility are listed next to the ten Cabinet members’ names below.  As a group, the Cabinet also leads Council-wide policy and strategy developments on issues that cover all Council departments.
